Your PTA

We aim to enhance the learning experience of the children at St Peter and St Paul and
have some fun along the way.
The Academy PTA have in the past made significant contributions toward enhancing
various aspects of life at the Academy. In past years we have donated £5000 towards
new gym flooring, purchased chromebooks for children to use during their learning,
constructed the now ever-popular ‘Book Nook’, and delivered the new playground
shelter. Most recently we topped up subject lead budgets, and significantly were able
to give the green light o the installation of some gorgeous wall art outside classrooms
on the ground floor.
Our annual leaving gifts to Year 6 pupils have continued with financial support for
their end of year bowling trip, plus £20 Amazon vouchers to bid them farewell to
pastures new. All this in addition to recent smaller projects including purchasing
globes for geography learning and musical instruments for use during music lessons.
None of this, however, would be possible without the support of parents, carers and
the wider school community.

What do we want from you?

We’d love you to volunteer, socialise and buy those cakes and raffle tickets! You can
do as little or as much as you want, but if most parents/carers were able to help with
one event during the whole year we would be able to promote a lot of events. Even if
you aren't able to engage with actual Academy events, make sure you engage with
and support the various initiatives we run each term.
For those of you who work, please check your firm’s community pages. Will they
sponsor us? Can they match the money you give us or pay for the hours you
volunteer? Can we support their product or service in return for their own support for
us?

Also if anyone can sponsor a raffle prize or donate one, please let us know.

What are we planning for the rest of the year?

All the usual events that we promoted pre-pandemic are well and truly back in the
diary, including the Christmas and Summer fairs, our new Easter Fun Day, and much
much more. Please keep an eye on the weekly newsletters every Friday for
upcoming events, communications sent out on our behalf from the Academy, and of
course the notice boards within the grounds. We will be continuing with the ever
popular Friday afternoon tuck shops, and the Thursday morning pre-loved uniform
pop-up shop - not to mention the after-school Mini Olympics club.
