It is expected that all the children will wear full Academy uniform, please see our Uniform, Policy and the uniform section of this website.

What Your Child Should Bring With Them To The Academy

All the equipment needed for learning will be provided by the Academy. There will be no need to bring anything from home except:

  • A named bottle refilled daily with water from home (additional water is available throughout the day). Water is provided for all children at lunchtime, so there is no need to bring an additional drink for lunchtime.
  • A packet of tissues
  • A coat if the weather is cold
  • Essential medicines to be handed into the Academy Office  (the appropriate form needs to be completed online and emailed to the Academy)

Lunches

The Academy would prefer all children to have an Academy hot lunch. The meals are cooked from fresh ingredients every day and are carefully planned to ensure they meet the children’s nutritional needs.

If you intended to provide your child with a packed lunch, it must be in a sealed bag, with a cool pack inside. All wrappings etc. will be returned daily inside the bag. Remember, all children are now entitled to a free school meal.

Year 5 and Year 6 Pupils Only

Year 5 and Year 6 pupils will be allowed to travel home on their own with parental permission on School Gateway. Parents can meet their child further away from the Academy entrances if they so wish.

Attendance

The parental duty is to ensure that their child attends regularly.

The school's responsibilities are:

  • To record attendance
  • To follow up absences
  • To issue sanctions, including fixed penalty notices when necessary

Education is not optional.  All pupils receive a high-quality education that promotes their development and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

SEND Support

SEND support will be available for children. Outside agencies will be allowed to work alongside Academy staff to support, assess and meet with children and parents. The SENCO is able to provide information regarding your child and should you wish to ask specific questions. Please email at admin@stpstp.co.uk or ring the Academy office.
